We are a working organic dairy farm set in unspoilt countryside on the beautiful South Devon coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our 5 individual cottages all have private gardens and are dotted around our farm in remote, rural settings only a short walk from the Coast Path - fantastic for dog walks and exploring nearby coves and beaches (all dog friendly!). Our local pubs also welcome dogs. We put fresh local organic milk in each cottage for guests on arrival. Carswell is also the birthplace of the Well Hung Meat Company, so our visitors can taste award winning local organic meat. Open all year.

Stowford Lodge Self Catering Holiday Cottages are situated in the heart of rural Devon's Tarka-the-Otter country. Stowford Lodge is set in about 6 acres of private pasture land comprising of an orchard, with a safe and wonderfully spacious children's play area and a one acre field ideal for kite flying and football. There is also a small wooded walk amongst numerous young trees running alongside a pony paddock and a hen and duck enclosure.
There are four cottages; Tarquol, Halcyon and Old Nog Cottages sleep 4 per cottage and Warren Cottage sleeps 6. There is also a newly built log cabin (Tarka's Holt), new for 2010 that sleeps 5 to 6. Stowford Lodge is about 3 miles from the country town of Great Torrington and the beaches of the North Devon coast are less than half an hour's drive away with the moorland areas of Exmoor and Dartmoor within easy reach. There are nearby facilities for golf, horse riding, sailing, fishing, shooting and cycle hire.
The pictureseque and secluded location of Stowford Lodge holiday accommodation gives the perfect base for a leisurely and peaceful country self-catering holiday, with many coastal, woodland and moorland walks in the surrounding area and many local places of interest to visit. The Tarka Trail long distance foothpath and cycle way passes nearby and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are less than two miles away.

Surrounding the cobbled North Courtyard lie the 5-star estate cottages which have been created from the restored period outbuildings at Kingston.
In the local area you'll find many dog friendly beaches (details in each cottage) and Dartmoor is just 15 minutes away.

Tranquil, traffic free, dog friendly rural retreat close to Slapton Sands in South Devon in an area of natural beauty, valley walks on green lanes, nature and wildlife.
We have five comfy old stone cottages by a shallow stream in 13 acres of lawns, woods and meadows around an 18th century former watermill in a secluded peaceful valley.
Individual, charming and cosy self-catering cottages, well equipped with own washing machines, wooden beams, thick stone walls, log-burners and private, fenced gardens, plus bbq's and outdoor furniture. Walks from your cottgage door around green lanes and further afield, five minutes drive from Slapton Ley which our river feeds, also enjoy the shared lawns, stream, fields and woodland walks in a wildlife haven.
Handy for coastal path and stunning South Hams coastline and 40 mins from Dartmoor, fifteen beaches within 30 minutes drive, most are dog friendly and lots of dog friendly pubs too! We really welcome dogs and have happily hosted up to five, talk to us about your holiday.

Woodland Cottages is simply the perfect location for those who love to take their dogs on holiday with them.
Our 3 Cottages (sleeping six, five and four) are set amongst our own 24 acres in a quiet, rural location where our guests can relax in the knowledge that their dogs (we love dogs so don’t mind how many you bring!) have plenty of safe space to explore. Our own 8 acre woodland is very popular for walks......... but you have to take our “mad spaniel” Ben!
We are only 15 minutes drive from two all year round dog-friendly beaches which offer vast expanses of sand and surf for all.. A mere five-minute drive away is an old, English country pub which is also dog-friendly and serves great food.
Spacious, comfortable, and well equipped the cottages have enclosed patios and a vast expanse of grass in front for your dogs to play. They have been designed and furnished with dogs in mind.
